Add Months to a Date

Use EDATE to move a date forward or backward by whole months.

How it works

EDATE(start_date, months) returns the date that is a number of months before or after a start date. It handles month-end dates correctly: EDATE of Jan 31 plus one month is Feb 28 (or 29).
